Little Russia

Harbin has a very Russian heritage, and that is especially evident in the area around Central Street. We went exploring around this area for Christine’s birthday, and found a romantic little Russian restaurant where we could eat some quality Borsch, cabbage rolls, and sausage. What a relief to find an English menu in a Russian restaurant in China (with pictures too!)

Also in the area is Saint Sophia’s cathedral. It used to be a Russian Orthodox Church, but is now an architectural museum. It was closed when we were there, so you’ll have to wait for pictures of the inside.
